Guys this cocktail is so fun. I made it up after I had bought a bottle of rosewater (for about 99 cents) at a Persian market and started experimenting with it. I added it to my baths, used as toner on my face… and made THIS! If you’re not a fan of rose flavored things I urge you to still give this a chance. It’s slightly sweet, pleasantly tart, and extremely exotic (somebody cue the music).
You will need:
(*for two cocktails use a shot glass to measure out parts… for a pitcher use larger “parts”)
2 parts part Vodka
2 parts Simple syrup (equal parts water and sugar dissolved together)
2 parts Fresh lemon juice
1/2 – 1 part Rose Water (You can find this in specialty food/international markets… and start slow with it… it can be quite an assertive flavor ;))
A splash of club soda for each glass
Place ice in a cocktail shaker and in your glasses. Pour in your parts (vodka through rose water). Shake and distribute over glasses. Top with splash of club soda and garnish with lemon zest, fresh mint, or rose petals! Enjoy!
