There are two things I have always struggled with in terms of iced coffee (such a rough life I have)…
1). The watery ice cubes melting and diluting my wonderful drink.
2). I don’t always use sugar, but when I do, I hate when it settles at the bottom and at the very end you get that big gritty sugary gulp.
Here is how I avoid those things:
COFFEE CUBES
Brew a little extra coffee the next time you have some.
Pour into ice cube trays.
And freeze!
Done! See that layer of coffee melting on the top!?
SIMPLE SYRUP
This is so easy. Take equal parts of sugar.
And water.
Heat a small sauce pan on medium-low heat; add water and sugar.
Cook until the sugar has completely dissolved in the water. Pour finished product into a resealable bottle and refrigerate!
