This punch is perfect for any party (ahem… New Years Eve). Both Guys and Gals love it. It’s not too sweet and its super convenient so people don’t have to spend time mixing their own drinks.
You will need:
2 bottles of dry champagne (I use the cheapest I can find)
2 cups gin
24 oz of really good ginger beer
Lemonade
Grapefruit juice
2 lemons sliced
1 bag of frozen strawberries
First prep your drink dispenser. I use a giant mason jar with a little spout, but you could use a punch bowl or giant pitcher. Anything will work!
Slice your lemons and put in the container.
Pour in your gin.
And your champagne and ginger beer.
For the lemonade and grapefruit juice, I usually do a good amount of lemonade to a few splashes of grapefruit, but I think you should play with it a little, adding a little bit at a time, stirring and tasting until you get your desired taste.
You can make this a day or two ahead (store in your fridge) and add your frozen strawberries right before serving. — they will serve as your cooling agent without diluting the drink. This punch is strong so serve with smaller glasses to encourage sipping. I made this for my husband’s birthday for the first time and he asks me to make a batch every so often just so we can have it in the fridge! It lasts for over a week and friends that stop by are usually very impressed by it. I also have it at almost every party because people always ask where “THE punch” is if not.
