The HURRY BACK - Fall Cocktail // Laurenariza.comHere it is! My annual fall cocktail. This year’s is a take on one of my all-time favorite drinks called The Last Word. In this one I added clove bitters, tangerine juice and a sage leaf garnish to give you all the cozy fall feels. The name of the cocktail is inspired by Humphrey Bogart’s supposed last words- “Goodbye kid, hurry back.” So here it is. The Hurry Back.

You will need:
1 Part Gin
1 Part Green Chartreuse
1/2 Part Fresh Lime Juice
1/2 Part Fresh Tangerine Juice (traditional Last Words use just lime juice so you can double the lime and omit the tangerine if you like!)
Clove bitters (I use three droppers of Infuse Bitters per cocktail)
A dash of Maple Syrup (optional to cut the tartness)
Sage Leaves for garnish
Tangerine rind for garnish

Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Combine everything but the sage leave and rind. Shake well and pour into glasses. Place a sage leaf in your hand and using your other hand clap the sage leave to release some of it’s oils. Place on the top of the drink along with the rind. Enjoy!
